okay, so i'm on holiday, bored out of my skull.
the obvious result: i'm buying new speakers apparently.

been googling reviews on 8531s, everybody says the're fantastic.
gave my dealer a call to check wheter i can have a listen at their place maybe.
now those a-holes are sending me a pair on monday to test for a week.
bastards are using my poor impulse control against me.

So with digital speakers AES is the name of the game now, I need a mixer for that?

need 1x AES, 1x Spdif, 3x line
smallish desktop unit, I'm really a video guy.
need all channels open at the same time

Any ideas?

anybody wanna buy a top notch forsell D/A converter that i bought for 4k last year, for no good reason at all apparently?
The worst of the story is: i'm only buying all this stuff so i can listen to hip-hop in style while doing color correction, brain transplant, now.

Could you please be more specific with you needs? In what sort of environment is this, what gear is connected to it etc? Have you already contacted your local dealer?

Thx buddy,

haven't asked my dealer yet.
experience tought me to approach them with requests for specific devices.

my needs:
I'm running a small video editing suite.
Primary source is a RME Soundcard with analog out as well as AES.
Secondary source is Avid Mojo-DX Video output hardware with analog out as well as SPDIF.
Tertiary sources are a second PC via onboard sound and a Nintendo Wii-U.

I need primary & secondary playing at the same time. i don't need to match levels or adjust pan between sources.
just need stereo. I only need to control one set of speakers.

I currently use a Drawmer MC2.1 monitor controller that i'm not particulary happy with. I'd like to stay in the same form factor.
