Stands for m040 - Isopads necessary?

Youngling Posts: 2 Join Date: 7/28/16 Recent Posts
I just bought a pair of m040s, and I'm wondering what stands to use as there seems to be conflicting information regarding the Isopads. I don't want to put them on my desk.

Could I put the monitors directly on top of these:

Without buying any other accessories?

Or would I get better results with a flat platform stand like these:

Can I get away without buying the official Genelec Isopads?

Any help would be much appreciated!

IsoPads are meant to be used when monitors are placed on a desk, there is no need for them if you plan to used stands. You can use stands with a flat platform with no problems.
