2. HT206 s/n: 030H001177

Hi Dmitry,

1. Is manufactured in September 2003.
2. It does not seem as a valid serial number. Do you have a picture of the back panel showing the number?

A few hundred units were made already in 1999. Your units are among the very first ones.

Hi there,

I am looking to buy a pair of used 8020a in China, their serial numbers are:

8020A PM6048162 Feb 08

8020A PM6048255 Feb 08

I know they're manufactured in 2008, just wanted to know if these serial numbers are authentic, just to be sure. Also if something goes wrong with these speakers can I still contact Genelec for help?

I've checked these serial numbers from our database, and they are real serial numbers.

Hi, Could you please check serial number 032A002203.

I have a problem with this unit. Bass amplifier is shutting off or not starting until i knock the back plate. It seems to work if unit gets warm.

Can you confirm if this even comes from a final mass production, or whether this might be a DVT or Pre-Production unit that potentially has imperfections.

Oh my god, I have never had the thought to check in what year my monitor was. I was always interested in meaning of the numbers on my back monitor panel. the serial number has 222 and I really believe that is means more just a simple number on the monitor. I'm sorry I did not find the exact date, but based on the information I found, it is most likely manufactured in the end of 1992.

Hello all!

I am interested to know when these pairs were made:

1.) 030A017627  +  030A016717
2.) 1921  +  1922

Is there any logic, or better still a database, that you can look up for yourself?

I am also interested in the differences between the revisions. Because there are also different backs of the speakers, which one is the younger version? Recognizable by the different arrangement of the connections (e.g. power connection). Are there any tonal differences?
