Sub for 8351's in 2.1 set up

I'd like to add a sub to my 8351's.

My listening space is roughly 6m x 4m and 3m high.
I'm using GLM 2.0.5 and the 9101a remote for volume control.
Music and TV/films.

The Genelec website recommends the 7370a sub but I really only have space (i.e. without reconfiguring my whole living room especially one large built-in piece of furniture) for the 7360a sub.

Both subwoofers have the same 19 - 100Hz frequency range, the 7370a uses a larger driver, generates 4dB more and uses a 100W larger amp.

Would I really notice the extra the 7370a would give me as its the bass extension I'm after not volume?

The main difference between the 2 subs will be SPL , having said that, SPL also equates to distortion, the larger sub will be working less and therefore its distortion figures will be lower.

The room has quite a large cubic volume, so if you can i'd definitely recommend the 7370.... The 70 isn't much bigger than the 60, which dimension will cause you to have to reconfigure your whole room?? You know the sub can be turned sideways or laid on it's side..... If this helps...

Thanks Steve,

Much appreciated. Its the width and its a pocket in a corner so not ideal but I see your point. I'll upload a pic. when I get the chance.

I'd say you wont need a sub for a stereo setup with the 8351 monitors, see no reason.
