GLM / AutoCal..flat response software for Analogue speakers

What is the best way to adjust analogue speakers to get the flat response for home theater/music listening use?

My preamplifier/ audio video receiver has a calibration software on its end that does speaker/room calibration.

-Genelec has it's own software for calibration.
-Both require microphones but i wanted to know since i have analogue speakers.

Should I only use the software on my preamp?

Do I need to purchase Autocal or GLM to get the best out of my Genelecs? for this purpose?

Do i need to use a combination of both to get what i need?

For the Genelec GLM Software you require the SAM speaker series from Genelec.
Therefore you have to use the calibration system from your preamp.

Hi,

Genelec GLM and AutoCal work only with the Genelec DSP/SAM series monitors and subwoofers. For analog series models you need to use the dip switches or an external EQ. An acoustic measurement system such as Room EQ Wizard is advised to be used to evaluate the room acoustics before adjusting any settings.
