To say i'm a huge Genelec fan is a mild understatement. I'm a avid movie buff and wanted to very best when watching my films and listening to music. The day i listened to my first pair of genelec 2029..was the day my ears finally began to listen.

I wanted to post a photo of my home theater setup with my beloved Genelecs with custom made stands and cabinets to fit my cherished Genelecs. Of course this is all temporary until my dream theater room gets built, but until then i'm happy to

In the photo:

Genelec 1034b

Genelec HTSB6

Surround Processor: Meridian G68

Display: Pioneer Elite Kuro 141fd Plasma

Blu ray player: Pioneer Elite BDP-09

Furman IT reference: Power conditioner

Wow! That is a nice looking system, thank you for sharing! 8-)

Only one comment about the speaker placement. 1034s are 890 mm tall and your custom stands look about the same, which puts the acoustic axis to approx. 1600 mm or 5' 3" which would be right if you are 6' tall and standing up. But if you sitting on the sofa, the acoustic axis is way too high for optimal performance. Your frequency response isn't optimal any more.

Also I would suggest toeing in the speakers maybe 10 to 20 degrees to reduce the wall reflection (on the left side) and also to be more on axis instead of off axis (horizontally).

Thanks for the great suggestions Ikka.

Wish i had that knowledge before i completed the design for the cabinet build. The initial purpose was to have a place for a few key places for these pieces:
- a place for the amps for the 1034b
- a stand for 1034b

also i needed a place to put the HTS6 subwoofer.

Unfortunately i made the slots above the sub too big..I had an idea that i wanted a place to put additional components. If needed.

On the design aspect the display (TV) is at the same height as the top of the monitors.

Looks like i'll take Ikka's suggestion by simply putting a riser on all seating locations. Then it would be at the necessary height for placement. Or i can always make a wedge and tilt the main monitor downward?

You could start with turning the monitors upside down to reduce height of midt/high drivers ;-)

Your home theater setup looks amazing!!
I would say that technology has brought us to the peak of a luxurious lifestyle as well as a life full of ease. Nowadays, there are many companies have been developing ways for us to experience a full 3D movie in the comfort of your home. As my parents are getting older, so they had decided to install a home theater in their home by taking a help from their local
electricians in Chester Springs PA who had installed home theater setup last weak. After the installation every day whenever they get free time they enjoy the wonderful cinema experience.
