AIW26 and 5041 sub

A colleague is in the process of purchasing 2pcs. AIW26 and he wants to use a 5041 subwoofer with these. I know that the sub is designed for the smaller in-wall speakers but he wants it anyway. What is the best way of connecting these together and is there a crossover that you recommend if this has to be used. best regards Frank

Hello,

for proper operation, you need to use external bass management (crossover filtering) for this combination. What type of AV receiver you will be using? The subwoofer has its own low pass filter set at 85 Hz so the high pass for the speakers should be matched with this.

Hi and thanks for the reply.

He will be using a Cambride DAC(with XLR out) that gets its program from a SONUS multimedia system.
I have been told this product will do the job: http://mackie.com/products/sp260

Best regards Frank
