Thank you for all the years of Community discussions and activity!

The time has come for us to retire the community forums, but we will keep everything available for reading. There is a lot of valuable content written over the years, and you'll be able to access all of that. However, no new posts can be written, or old posts modified.

If you have questions, we recommend you use the Support function on the bottom right corner to contact our Customer Support directly.

Alternatively, if you wish to engage in a community discussion with other people, there are many active forums available. There is also an active, fan managed GENELEC COMMUNITY in Facebook, and many Genelec employees are active in the discussions there.

We are sorry for any possible inconvenience this may cause you, but we hope to hear from you through the other channels mentioned above.

8351 volume drop in analogue mode

Hi. I'm experiencing an issue with only one of my monitors.

My system is setup with glm and I have both analog and digital inputs . I also have the volume control remote and my analog inputs are coming from a crane song avocet monitor controller

The issue is with my right monitor which is also the first in my digital set up.. After about two minutes in analog mode the signal in only the right monitor drops off precipitously

If I turn the monitor off then back on it operates normally for another two minutes. The volume actually fades out over about 5-10 seconds . I can reset the speaker and its normal again for two minutes.

I have filed a support request but haven't heard back as of yet

Any ideas? Hopefully the unit doesn't have to be returned

Hi,

That sounds really strange and requires further investigation before anyone can say whether it needs service or not. Where did you file your support request? I just checked our support email (support@genelec.com) and didn't see your email?

Hmmm I went to the genelec website
And under support I found a support form
It asked for serial number etc

I'll include that here

Hmm I guess it's an internal company thing as its not in my email
I'll send an email to the address you gave

Hope to sort this quickly it's kind of a drag lol
