Clipping problem with 8020C

I just got a pair of 8020C's and love the sound and design. But today I noticed a problem -- when I turn the on-speaker volume up more than 25% there is some kind of amp/electrical problem that causes them to start clipping. All of the dip switches are off and I'm using 110V power. Anyone know what the problem is?

You should know that there are different versions for different mains voltage. I am wondering what versions you might have? Can you check the sticker near the mains input connector, what does it read? If you have 230V versions and are using them with 110V, there is your problem.

Oh noooooo, that's the issue! Is there anything I can do other than replace them?

I have done some research and found that it's possible to get a transformer to do the trick. I don't want the extra parts though and will be selling/returning this pair.

Is the 8030C available in white with 110V in any country?
