8010 vs 6010 vs 4010 - What are the differences?

I'm looking to get a pair of small genelecs, they're extremely portable and nice to hold, I'd use them for out and about mixing/multimedia.

I just wanted to know the differences between the three models?

Many thanks!

4010 & 8010 are essentially the same but using different input connectors (XLR vs. Phoenix). They both feature Genelec's new class D amps, new woofer, new filters etc.

The 6010 is an older design compared to the others.

Hello Steve,

You might want to edit your reply because 4010 and 8010 are essentially the same but using different input connectors. They both have class D amplifiers, new woofers, new filters etc compared to older 6010 model/design.

Hey thanks guys, also what is the difference between the "AP" "AWM" and "APM"

Are they all the same?

First letter = product revision (A, B, C etc)
Second letter = colour (P =producer, W=polar white, M=mystic black, Z=polished, S=silver, X=patterned (only for M series))
Third letter = magnetic shielded or not (M)

Some dealers/on-line shops do not always list these additional letters, or list them partially. That causes confusion among our customers.
