Brand new 8020C getting some distortion

Hello there,

Last week i´ve bought a pair of those 8020C monitors in Paris. After come back to Brazil, i could only test them today, and for my suprise, one of them started doing a buzz distortion at low and mid low frequencies, as you can see on this video (the left one) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZ3hNWd0X5c
The main power in Brazil is 110V and those monitors are 230V. But i´m using a 350W step up transformer to convert to the right main power. I´ve tried diferent cables as well, but the monitor stills doing the buzz noise.
Some of you have an idea what can be the problem?

Thanks for help.

Carlos

Hi Carlos,

Thank you for your great video and sorry to hear about the problem with your Genelec speakers. I have forwarded this link to our sales manager for South America, let's wait for his reply and go forward from there. Technically you should handle the warranty issue with the dealer in Paris.

edit: I see that you have already contacted by our customer support (email), so we can close this one. Thank you!
