G Three LED hue

I recently bought three pieces of G Threes for home use.

The sound is of course wonderful as expected, but I was quite disappointed when I realised that there is a noticeable difference in the hue, or colour temperature of one of the power LEDs. Two units have a slightly blueish tint, while the third one has a neutral, warmer white tint.

I was surprised to find this kind of quality discrepancy in such a high-end product, that's also supposed to be part of the home decor. Of course it's a smallish detail, and wouldn't probably bother most people too much, but I think the true "quality" lies in these little things.

I'm wondering if this is "OK" from Genelec's point of view? It most certainly is not what I expected.

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback! Could you first please let us know the serial number of the speakers?

Hi,
how did Genelec solve the problem?
I have the same problem with different LED-hue with a brand new pair G three.

Thanks for an answer,
msta

Hi,

If the hue difference is larger than what is considered normal, we can replace the LED. For more information I would ask you to contact your local distributor and their service. If you live in Finland, you can directly contact our service department "service (at) genelec.com"
