The time has come for us to retire the community forums, but we will keep everything available for reading. There is a lot of valuable content written over the years, and you'll be able to access all of that. However, no new posts can be written, or old posts modified.

Alternatively, if you wish to engage in a community discussion with other people, there are many active forums available. There is also an active, fan managed GENELEC COMMUNITY in Facebook, and many Genelec employees are active in the discussions there.

Hi there,

I’ve bought my 8040’s about 17months ago and I haven’t registered yet. If I register now the warranty of 2+3 years plus will be valid?

Also if I register now and sell the speakers, will the warranty still be valid for the next buyer?

Answer to your both questions is yes. Our registration system does not yet support re-registering products to a new owner, but we are in the process of updating it. At the moment you should inform us (for example by email to service(at)genelec.com) if the speakers are sold to a new owner.

Hi,

At the moment you can delete your registration of the monitor by navigating to "Product Registration" page, and deleting the serial numbers. New owner can register the monitors after the original registrations have been deleted. If you encounter any issues on the process, or have any further questions please don't hesitate to contact us at service(at)genelec.com and we are glad to help.
