mix 8000series and G?

Hello Iisalmi. Is there any issues or problems if making 5.1 home theatre mixing for example front row 3x8030 and rear 2xG2? How about front row with 8030 and G3 centre?

All of those options are viable, your choice between "G" or 8000 series would be based on what type of outputs your HT processor has. Most have an unbalanced line level, so the "G" series would be better, you can also disable the front LED on the "G's"

Thanks! I still wonder a bit about that mixing issue.. Here's another example: Denon DN-500AV with XLR output (all lines) connected to Genelec 7060, from there XLR-XLR to 4x 8030 (all corners) and XLR-XLR to center Gthree. Should be fine?

How about same as above but let's change 2x Gtwo in the back with connection (from 7060) XLR-RCA. Anything to worry about?

I already have Denon, 7060 and 2x8030 and building 5.1. That's why I'm asking this mixing thing :)

The only thing i would change would be 8020's for rears over G2's, it saves the XLR/RCA conversion.

Going down a size on the rears is a valid option, so it's up to you, it all comes down to budget and space...
