Hello there

I'm in need of help on this issue again

i already did a thread before i believe but here it goes again

so i bought a 7050B to use with some Neumann 120A and as you may be aware the 120s don't have a highpass switch

i'd like to adjust the system to the the best possible way in order to avoid cancelling

iv been trying and it works (more less) but i do get some cancelling on the 70-150 hz range

i can't understand what the bass roll offs on the sub do or what they curves are its not very explicit

ill buy u a beer if you can help me setup up this properly XD

thanks a bunch i don't want to sell the sub its awesome and i will get some genelecs soon so for the time being help on this would be amazingly awesome :)

thanks and any further info u might need i will give asap

take care

Hi,

It is not possibly to properly match those two together without an external crossover device. Speakers don't offer 85 Hz crossover/roll-off which the subwoofer requires. The roll-off controls on subwoofer control its own response at the low end of the response (25 Hz). It doesn't affect the frequency response around the crossover (85 Hz). I recommend you change your speakers to Genelec models 8020 or 8030 which are the suitable models for that subwoofer.

Those are just very general recommendations. They should be takes as rough guidelines only. -4 dB might be best suited for certain installation.
