M040 for Nord C2D

Hi,

I have a question.
I play my Nord C2D electric organ in my sleeping room, currently it's hooked to a pair of KRK Rokit 5 G3 that I use as pc speakers, but if they are ok for everyday purposes, they are pretty bad for the pipe organ sounds, for example, when I use the pedal stops one of them begins to rattle and in general the low notes of the great manual aren't clear at all.
So I was thinking to buy a pair of M040, maybe adding a 7060 sub later if I won't be satisfied with the bass notes, but my sleeping room isn't treated and it's around 12 square metres, so will this setup be overkill?
Btw due to space problems the M040 will be placed in my bookshelf, will this work or I have to move in a bigger room like the living room?

Hi,

M040 won't be an overkill for your room because even though typically small rooms boost the bass frequencies but we have implemented versatile room response controls which you can use to eq the frequency response flatter. The M040 also embodies a low turbulence reflex port which allows uncompressed bass through the new patent pending port design, Laminar Integrated Port – LIP ™.

Of course the M040 is still a relatively small-sized speaker with an LF extension at 44 Hz (-6 dB anechoic) so it won't be able to produce the fundamental of a 32' stop. For that you will need to add a subwoofer. :)
