GLM/autolink volume control broken

Youngling Posts: 10 Join Date: 5/21/13 Recent Posts
Hi,
I can not control the volume anymore since 3-4 days via the keyboard. Any settings change in autolink did not resolve the problem. System is Mac mini with Mavericks, GLM, autolink, 8260s, digital input from Mac. After all the problems with GLM1.5 I'm back to 1.4, which is working rather stable. However, I did not (and don't want to - a part from Genelec fixing the problems in GLM 1.5, which - unfortunately - appears to be unrealistic) use my Griffin PowerMate USB volume control due unpredictable volume issues (already discussed here...).
Is this autolink problem known ? Is there any solution/work-around ? As pointed out above, this is only since 3-4 days, there may be an update (but I'm still on Mavericks) causing this, perhaps via a conflict with autolink...
Thanks for comments and/or help,
Michael

My solution, although I'm not happy with it: I went to 1.5 again and use USB-volume control via PowerMate. I do not trust this solution as I had problems previously, but at least it is working at the moment.

Just a final comment. I changed to a new keyboard and volume control via autolink works again. Apparently this was a hardware fault on my side.

The controlling device have to send the commands 10ms or longer and that messes with most of the iPhone remotes out there from using hotkeys I've tried around 15 of them. Sometimes physical peripherals doesn't work with GLM either because of this error in Autolink.

Hello guys, I had exactly the same problem, I couldn't control the volume anymore since 6 days via the keyboard, any settings change in auto-link did not resolve the problem. So the only solution was to change the keyboard as you did. I bought myself a Moko Universal Keyboard and it turned to be perfect for me. I found it after reading reviews on https://woahtech.com/best-ergonomic-keyboards/
