AD9200 not working.

Dear All,
Hoping for some help here. I am getting no program out of my AD9200. I presume it is going in
(there are no level indicator lights on the the front of the AD9200)

My present setup uses:
A Tascam DM3200 desk with the surround monitor card -> Tascam db25 - trs cable to:
a 8Ch RME converter with simultaneous AES, ADAT and Analogue converters - AES multicore to:
Genelec 7260A Sub and the 8240A x 5 surrounds via AES.
It works.

I replaced the RME with the AD9200 and the db25/trs with new db25/db25 multicore.
Now It doesn't work.

I went back to the supplier and insisted the db25 cable was wired wrong and got a replacement.
It still wont work . I went to another supplier and got another brand of Tascam wired DB25 - DB25
Still wont work.

I went back to the original setup with the RME still in the chain and used the analogue outs from the
RME to the AD9200 - to see if I can the signal to peak on the AD9200.
No go.

The manual is of no help. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Gerard

Hi,

Does the power led light up? If not, the external transformer is probably faulty. If yes, the main unit is probably faulty.

Hi Ilkka,

Thanks for replying.

Yes, the power light lights up on both the front and rear panel. Which means is is not good news?

Before I send it back to the retailer -

It should make no difference that the pin out on the tascam website picture is from left to right
and the pin out is from right to left on the AD9200? - So long as the hot cold and gnds are
said to be going to the right pins - Right?

Thanks
Gerard

Different pin out order shouldn't matter, it just changes the total phase by 180 degrees. I recommend that you get a replacement unit.
