6010 big enough for this livingroom?

My two year old daughter needs better speakers (2.1) for Netflix/TV use. She has some super tiny Dell desktop speakers at the moment, which I pretty much hate. And since I really like Genelec (previous owner of both 6010A and 8030) I won't go with anything else.

The only issue is that I need small speakers to hang on the wall. Anything bigger than 6010 won't look good. Except for custom in-wall, but then the wall isn't thick enough.

I have drawn a simple overview of the room. Will these speakeras with a 5040 sub make justice and offer a pretty good listening experience for movies and such? I only used my previous Genelecs as desktop speakers for my PC, and can't really remember much about the 6010's, except that I really loved them. The 6010's is also in the right price range for me. Will eventually get either the 5040 or the F One sub.

The room is 8.4m², the distance between the wall and listening position is 2.6m. All other measures can be seen on the drawing below.

No one?

I know the 6010B come with a wall mount, but I haven't been able to find more information about these. I'll have to be able to vertically tilt down the speakers just a notch, as well as horizontally. Will the included wall mounts offer this option or do I have to get some third-party mounts?

Hi,

I am confident your daughter will be more than pleased with 6010B + subwoofer system in that room. :)

The basic wall mount looks like this and offers only 35 deg. vertical tilt: http://www.verkkokauppa.com/fi/product/ ... usta-1-kpl

For both vertical and horizontal tilt, there is this model: http://www.verkkokauppa.com/fi/product/ ... usta-1-kpl

Sounds great! By the way, the wall mounts you posted are identical but I have a clue about which ones you meant. Expensive ones though, might get them later on.

About the 5040, F One and F Two... There's a huge price jump from the F One to F Two and still the 7050 is much cheaper than the F Two. What are the real differences between the more expensive ones?

Have some thoughts about jumping up to the F Two later on instead of getting the 5040/One and get a bigger pair of front speakers and move the 6010's to the rear. I assume this setup would work perfectly. Just wish there was somewhere I could hear the differences myself, but the north part of Sweden doesn't have much to offer I'm afraid :/

Hi,

Sorry, I meant to link this one: http://www.verkkokauppa.com/fi/product/ ... usta-1-kpl

Major differences between F Two and 7050B are the outlook and amplifier power. F Two has 150 W class D amplifier and more stylish outlook.

Do these come in pairs or per unit? :(

That price is per unit.
