HT sound installation, and little about GLM

I have a home theater project going and very strong speaker candidate is Genelec either A8240 or 8250 to the front and something smaller to rear. Some more test listening to be done still. 8040's are the best speakers that I have listened in my room for that room. 8050's will be tested in near future. The Room is 375cm wide and I have about 4,5 meters of length in use. The watching distance will be around 3 meters (-50cm to +1m) room is 260cm high It is multi-use room and thus the screen will be in front of window and balcony door right of the window. When facing the screen in the right hand side there is Lundia bookshelf 30cm wide. That will make the effective width about 345cm.
I will have about 255 -270cm wide picture. Screen will be side tension screen thus it will take some more space from the sides.

Currently I'm have 2 options for placing the speakers:

I could place or 3 speakers to the Ceiling. I have been going thought the technical data of the speaker and a short ceiling mount 8000-435 and I have not been able determine how low the mount and speaker combo will be. So what is the lowest point they can go? In real installation they would be facing down a little. I'm trying to picture what kind of roomscape 3 speakers would present when the theater is in hide mode.

My other option is to base left and right speakers outside the edge of the screen. Thus the mid speaker would need to be below the screen with the line of the two other speakers. Main issue with this is the installation of the right speaker. That one would need to be in the bookshelf next to the wall or in the space with it. Distance between the vertical ladders at that spot is 1 meter. Options here: for 8240 small table stand might be useful to clear speaker from the shelf. How about the 8250? What would be a best way to do the clearance from the shelf? Floor stand is an option, but that would mean that I would lose several meters of shelf space below the speaker as I would need to take several shelves off. Is there a suitable wall stand that could be either connected to Lundia's vertical ladder "back wall". Or install the speaker to the concrete wall on the right?

Question about the 5cm rear clearance. If I would cut and hole to the ladder wall how big and how should it be based? Or just cut all the excess board away from the area?

All ideas are highly appreciated - especially those that I have not thought yet!

Which installation would most likely make better sound?
Can I find the size of the Iso Pods either. How big are they specially for 8250?

I'm thinking 8020's for surround speakers or are they over kill or too small? Also what would the recommended combo of mains. 3x the same or 2x of Y and 1x Z to middle?

And to the end a little barrage of GLM questions. Have I understood it correctly. If I have several calibrations done, IS the GLM needed to change them in to the speakers? ex. I have 2 set ups one for the HT and one for listening music in 2.0 or 2.1 mode in not so optimal spot. Can GLM be installed to more than one computer? Does the GLM sound card need to be installed in order to switch the calibration file?

About the GLM question:

As far as I know there is no other way to switch GLM calibration than with the software. The computer controls the active GLM calibration (as well as "volume" and mute) in the speaker via Cat5 cable so you can only use one computer to change the calibration but you can use another computer as the audio source if you want to. (but you should double-check this with someone from Genelec)

To change the calibration use the software directly or assign a keyboard shortcut (this can be a bit buggy since the software is a bit unstable). The keyboard shortcut can then be activated by usb interface or an app or whatever you buy that can send keyboard strokes.

It is a bit unclear if the software always needs to be running or not but I would definitely leave to on. You could also store one active calibration in the speaker but I don't really see the reason for this.

I use XLR with analogue audio and XLR with a digital signal and then I have a computer that is connected via the cat 5 that controls the volume and calibration settings with the software and a ShuttlXpress for calibration selection, and an app for both volume and calibrations and a powe mate for volume and mute.

1. Computer on, Genelecs on and controlled by GML. If you then turn off the computer, the Genelecs remain at their current setting until powered off.

2. Genelecs off, Computer off. If you now turn on the Genelecs, they start with the stored calibration. If you power on the connected computer running the GML later, GML "overtakes" the speakers. Therefore: if you do not need the volume control, it can be very useful to store your settings.

Thank you Bourne!

But I normally need to adjust my volume for different scenarios :(
