8020B + 7050B: what position do I set the volume knob at?

Hello!
I have a pair of 8020Bs and a 7050B. My setup is as follows:

Computer outputs to an audio interface. The L and R output on the audio interface goes to the 7050B Front Left and Front Right inputs. The FL and FR outputs on the 7050B each go to an 8020B.

My question is: the 8020Bs have a volume knob on the front. What do I set this to? The level on the 7050B is independent of what this knob is at, so it doesn't seem right to have it set to some arbitrary position. Am I supposed to measure this with tools, or is my setup incorrect?

Thanks!

Hello,

Gain knobs on the speakers should be set to maximum, meaning fully clockwise. Subwoofer gain knob should be set to appropriate level depending on the positioning and room acoustics, typically around 0...-4dBu.
