Alternatively, if you wish to engage in a community discussion with other people, there are many active forums available. There is also an active, fan managed GENELEC COMMUNITY in Facebook, and many Genelec employees are active in the discussions there.

We are sorry for any possible inconvenience this may cause you, but we hope to hear from you through the other channels mentioned above.

8030A vs 8020C + Sub

Hello Folks,

i'm new here but i will come more and more ofter as i am willing to purchase a new pair of Genelec.

Well my doubt, still not clear after hours of reading over various forums, is about Bass Response.

I am trying to understand if it's more suitable for me a standalone pair of 8030A or a pair of 8020C with a nice Sub added in.

Addiotinal info:

i am an EDM music producer in the style of Swedish House Mafia ( wannabe eheh ) and so on, and i need very clear and true listening on what is going on in between 35hz till 200hz and of course also true highs, but for which both 8030A and 8020C i'm sure they do a great job.

My room is not very big ( +- 6 square meters ) and i will place Acoustic Foams and bass traps all over, in order to reduce or avoid at all bass reflections.

My budget is 1500/1700€ and i was wondering what you guys think over this thread.

Thank you very much and cannot wait to have my Genelec and to know your opinion!!!
