Inputs not working on my 5040A

Hello,
Strangely, one day two of the inputs on my 5040A stopped working. The rear input works but front and center do not. I do get some bass rumble from the source but that's it. I can't think of anything that changed...except that my housecleaner was vacuuming around it, but I can't imagine that could have done anything.

I normally have my laptop in one input along with a line running from a mixer to listen to records.

Any suggestions? I'm hoping there's a dumb solution that I just didn't think of...

Thank you in advance!
Tim

Any thoughts on this? I forgot to mention...when I plug in the remote volume control no sound at all comes out. Very strange I know!

Which speakers do you have and how they are connected to the subwoofer? Inputs and outputs are linked together which means that if you have a source connected to the front L and R inputs, the speakers need to be connected to L and R outputs. Rear speaker outputs wouldn't produce any signal to the speakers and you would only hear the subwoofer rumble. Please check the connections.

that did the trick. I knew it was something simple!
(now I'll have to fire the house maid for screwing with the connections)
