Hello,

I was wondering if someone could help me out I'm looking to buy a pair of genelec monitors I play a lot of vinyl and was wondering if genelec would suitable for this purpose? I will be plugging the in to a two channel DJ mixer I play mostly reggae 45's?

Thanks

Hi,

All Genelec models are suitable for vinyls, CDs, streaming media etc, it doesn't make any difference what so ever. A correct loudspeaker model for your needs depends on listening distance, room size, low frequency and maximum SPL requirements, and of course budget.

I would suggest our new M030 speaker with a 5 inch woofer and 80W amplifier power which would be a really good option for that room size and listening distance: http://www.genelec.com/products/m030/

Another option could be the 8020 which is a smaller speaker with a 4 inch woofer and 40W amplifier power: http://www.genelec.com/products/8020c/
