PC mutes GLM / speakers

Hi!

I have pair of 8260A and GLM (1.4.3) which is connected to PC (win7). It seems that nearly always when the computer is going to sleep, it whiches GLM "off" and speaker are muted (steady green light remains).

When I start GLM and load my settings, all is ok and music is turned on again. I am very happy with my gear, but this "extra work" is slowly getting my less happy with the additional proserure and surely must not be normal.

Any suggestions what I could be doing wrong here?

Sometimes this will not happen. But when I turn the PC on and windows is uploading, speakers are muted again and I need to run GLM and load settings.

Another question. Today I tryed AES / EBU signal. Is it possible to use one GLM set-up file for both gidital and analog signal as I need to use both at the moment. I solved it by using the GLM files, one I need to open for AES signal and one for analog. The question is do I need to do this or can I use one set-up with both signals wires connected?

Thank you in advance

Best regards,

Tom

Unfortunately this is normal behaviour for the GLM interface. When ever the interface loses connection (USB cable disconnected, computer goes to sleep or power down) and then comes back on, it sends a mute command to all speakers for safety reasons.

If the GLM software is running, only either one of the inputs can be active at a time. There is no way to change this. Only possibility is to run the speakers in stand alone mode (no GLM software running) and set the digital inputs active. Then both inputs will stay active and the selection is made depending on which input receives signal. In order to to use the analogue inputs, the digital inputs can't receive any signal, not even zeroes.
