Thank you for all the years of Community discussions and activity!

The time has come for us to retire the community forums, but we will keep everything available for reading. There is a lot of valuable content written over the years, and you'll be able to access all of that. However, no new posts can be written, or old posts modified.

If you have questions, we recommend you use the Support function on the bottom right corner to contact our Customer Support directly.

Alternatively, if you wish to engage in a community discussion with other people, there are many active forums available. There is also an active, fan managed GENELEC COMMUNITY in Facebook, and many Genelec employees are active in the discussions there.

We are sorry for any possible inconvenience this may cause you, but we hope to hear from you through the other channels mentioned above.

Hi all,
I own 2X8030A and 1X7060A.
I's like to move one 8030 to central position and the other one to rear central position.
Get then 2X8040A and so have a very nice stereo sound and a good enoungh 4+1 ht sound.

but,

having a vu+ solo due or Bravia out digital sound output what can I do to split them to line out for genelec?

1. linux pc and RME Babyface USB 2.0 High Speed Audio Interface 10 in, 12 out or similar
2. onkyo, but I don't need its power output

other options?

Thx,
Raffaele

Hi,

If you want a real multichannel sound, you need a device with a Dolby decoder to decode the digital multichannel audio stream. You should look for AV-receivers with pre amp outputs, which can be found from all major brands such as Onkyo, Yamaha, Marantz, Pioneer etc.

You can also connect speakers through VU+ Solo2 analog outputs but then you will only have stereo sound, no Dolby multichannel.
