Thank you for all the years of Community discussions and activity!

The time has come for us to retire the community forums, but we will keep everything available for reading. There is a lot of valuable content written over the years, and you'll be able to access all of that. However, no new posts can be written, or old posts modified.

If you have questions, we recommend you use the Support function on the bottom right corner to contact our Customer Support directly.

Alternatively, if you wish to engage in a community discussion with other people, there are many active forums available. There is also an active, fan managed GENELEC COMMUNITY in Facebook, and many Genelec employees are active in the discussions there.

We are sorry for any possible inconvenience this may cause you, but we hope to hear from you through the other channels mentioned above.

GLM volume control in multi-user environment

I know it's an old topic previously discussed at
http://www.community.genelec.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=724. However, I would like to give my vote for a computer independent volume control device for Genelec DSP products. Are there still plans to release it?

I'm using 8240A monitors in a home theatre environment with a few switchable digital sources connected to AES/EBU input. Especially when there are several users logged in on Mac OS X 10.8.4 there is a hassle with GLM software (version 1.4.3). If another user has GLM running, it is often not possible to set volume level without killing other user's GLM process in the terminal. Sometimes unplugging USB and restarting GLM is enough to make volume control work again. Anyhow, it would be more simple if there were a separate device for volume control.
