8020b or 8020c

Im considering to buy the Genelec 8020 but Im not sure wether i shall go for the B or C model.
The 8020b pair are discounted to $703 and the C pair costs $931. I'll save $228 by buying the 8020B model but the question is wether its worth saving the money or not.

I've read about the 8020c that they have this 'save power managment" where it can save you some money on the electric bill. But when does the power supply automically starts to save power? Is it something like you have for at least 15-20(without audio signal) minutes before the watt power gets reduced down or does the saving power automatically reduces the watt power as soon as you stop the monitors?

If Its going to start saving power after 30mins or so then i guess I'll save up the money and buy the 8020b but if the saving power on th C model starts saving power after 2-3 minutes with no audio signal passing by then I think it might be worth spending the extra money on that.

And btw These monitors are gonna be placed in apartment(bedroom). I had to sell 8040 due to their big size and they were quite loud and it just didnt suit well in my apartment. That's why im going with the small 8020 but I just need to be sure wether i shall go for the B or C model.

I hope you can help me out :-)

Hi,

The Intelligent Signal Saving (ISS) function puts the speaker into low power consumption mode after 1 hour it stops receiving audio signal.

Then I think I'll be better off with the genelec 8020B model. I'll probably will not let my monitors stay switched on if im not using them.
