Subwoofer in a flat?

Hi,

I own a pair of 8020b monitors and I absolutely love them .
I would like to a add a subwoofer to my setup but I'm not sure what is the right one for my room.
I live in a very badly soundproofed flat so does it even make any sense to get a subwoofer? And if yes which one would you recommend, 7050b or the 5040 one.
I mainly like to use it for mixing my music.

Thanks!

Hi,

You can use either subwoofer in your room and with 8020B monitors. The 7050B will offer you more power and depth which your neighbours might not like! :) What kind of music do you mix? What is the typical low frequency range you would need?

Manily urban Music and my Range would be between 30hz and 100hz.

Ok, then I would recommend 5040A as it will have the necessary frequency range but it won't disturb your neighbours as much as the bigger subwoofer.
