hey there, i'm going to get a pair of 8030's or 8020's and really need to know IF and how i will connect them to my scarlett 16i6 soundcard. any help would be amazing, thanks.

You need two cables male TRS to XLR and plug them from the "monitor" out of the 18i6 toe the xlr in of the Genelecs.
That should give you a balanced audio connection (this is why you need stereo jacks on each cable).
