GLM stuck on Input Calibration

Hi i have a pair of 8240a's hooked up single wire digital out of Lynx Auroras from my Mac Pro running OSX Snow Leopard. My issue is with GLM. Everything runs fine with GLM and have the speakers working fine except when trying to run Autocal. GLM gets caught on the Input Calibration and never gets past that step. I am wondering how do i fix this issue? I am using the GLM USB sound card and have everything plugged in as specified.

Did you reboot the computer after the installation?

You could try installing a newer version of the X11: http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/wiki/Releases

What is the type of the Mac and version of the OS you are using?

Did this ever get solved, because I have the same problem but on a windows 7 64bit computer. never had a problem before, but this exact same thing is happening to me right now. Frustrating as hell.

Windows 7 - 64 Bit, same problem...

Tried different USB ports (USB 1 and 2)

GLM version 1.4.3. fresh install onto my DAW. tried removing all my USB inputs and having audio interface switched off. Every time was exactly the same, just sat there mid way through input calibration.

Tried my work laptop, windows 7 - 64 bit... exactly the same. (HP Laptop)

Borrowed another windows 7 - 64 bit laptop, and it worked!! only difference I could tell was that the last laptop I used was a bit older and only had USB 2 ports, no USB 3 ports. (Lenovo laptop).

Copied the setup and calibration files and moved them over to my main workstation, loaded them up and the speakers picked up the auto cal settings. YEAH! will just have to use another laptop everytime I make a change to my studio.

Very frustrating that I couldn't get it working on my main workstation

Since I had the same problem right now and this seems to be the only thread on the web I wanted to reply quickly.

My stat: macbook pro (mid2010), yosemite.
loading glm files works, controlling too, auto cal doesn't. Always gets stucked in input calibration.
I remembered that I ran into the same issue with Lion or some OS around that a longer time ago.

My only solution: dicking for my good old white 2007 mac book with tiger on it and 'badabing' no more problems...

Maybe GLM1 has a problem with the 64bit systems?? Anyway Genelec, a fix would be mandatory in my opinion!!!
Maybe as an alternative making the 82..a series work with GLM2 could do the trick?

Anyways, people have payed way too much money for your system to let them down like that...

Cheers
Alex

Hi Alex,

Perhaps there is a misunderstanding here? GLM 1.5 supports OS X up to version 10.9 (Mavericks). For 10.10 (Yosemite) and higher you have to update to GLM 2.0. Currently GLM 2.0 supports all of our DSP series (8200, 8300, 7200) speakers and subwoofers except 8130 and 7261 (GLM.SE).
