Hello,

We have found out that some HT206B speakers have a fault that causes the woofer to burn. You shouldn't just replace the woofer because the problem is in the electronics. You should contact our Russian distributor. Please let them know that the parts for this fault are under warranty. They should contact Genelec HQ service department if they don't have the necessary documents regarding this fault. Service note numbers is: CGHT206B000 Thank you!

Here is their contact information:

Dear Ilkka,

As you said in the precedent post, "some 1030A and HT206B speakers have a fault that causes the woofer to burn".
Which serial numbers and/or which range of serial numbers are concerned by this problem ? Which are the manufactured dates ? I've two of these excellent loudspeakers but I'm a little afraid of that :?

Thanks in advance for your answer !

Kind regards,

Oliver.

Hi Olivier,

In contrary to my previous statement, this problem concerns only the HT206B, not 1030A.

We can't list any specific serial numbers but it MAY concern units build before 6.7.2009.

Thanks a lot Ilkka ! My two HT206Bs have the following date : October 2011, so they aren't concerned :D

Kind regards,

Olivier.
