Hi, i recently purchased 2 Genelec 8020b monitors, but now i heard noise from the monitors - even unplug the XLR cable. Is this right? :?

Hi,

Some amount of hiss is normal if you put your ear very close to the speaker, but it shouldn't be audible more than a few centimetres from the speaker.

What kind of noise is it? What is your source? Can you unplug the speakers and try them somewhere else (first other room and then other house)?

Yes, i hear a amount of hiss when i put my ear very close to the treble driver. About 15cm.
I will try again in another room or house.
