GENELEC 1029a HOME THEATER

Hi everybody!
it's my first time i write on this forum.
i own 4 genelec 1029a and i use them for the home theater.
they used to work with a Marantz sr 5000, where a digital decoder, a tv, and a bluray player audio were plugged in.
now my marantz is broken and i have to find a new mix which allows me to manage the three different audio sources.
i don't know the features the mix must have to work with my genelecs, because i've never taken care of this sound system.
is there anyone who can help me to find a possibly cheap solution?

Hello,

You need to ensure that the AV receiver has so called pre amplifier outputs. If you want to stay with Marantz, suitable models would be:

SR5005 (most affordable one)
SR6005
SR6006
SR7005

Hi,

Unfortunately that specific Yamaha model doesn't have the required pre out connections. It only has pre out for subwoofer, not for the rest of the speakers.

Mid price range Yamaha models having 7.2 channel pre out connections:

RX-V667
RX-V767
RX-V867
RX-V871
