8020 or 8030 to complete my home theater

Hi there,

I actually change my home theatre from a passiv to an active solution.
I sold my 5 ACR Isostatic 200 including the amplifier to get the money for some used genelec stuff.
Now I own three 8040 for the front and the center and a 7060 woofer.
What is the best solution for my rear speakers? A pair 8020 or a pair 8030?

Best regards
Michael

The _best_ solution would be 2x 8040 ;) But you can probably scale them down to 8030. The 8020 probably won't have enough SPL to compete with the other channels on high volume settings!

Hi,

Just as Hachre explained, one speaker model up or down is just ok, two models smaller (like 8020 in an 8040 based system) starts to limit the clean maximum output of the system.

OK. Thanks for your information.

I found a white pair 8030 on eBay for a nice price.
