I get a ringing tone out of my 8030's

Hello!

I get a ringing tone out of my Genelec 8030's. I recently bought them (1 week ago), and this just occured.
If I have the volume up more than 1/4, I hear a ringing tone that gets louder as I turn the volume up (I guess it's there all the time, then...) It doesn't matter how little input I put from the soundcard to the speakers, I can turn it to zero and it's still there. It starts when I open up my sequencer or any other music program (Sibelius, Spotify, iTunes etc).

Any help here?

I have a small home studio with this equipment:

- iMac
- Focusrite Saffire 6 USB Soundcard
- 2x Genelec 8030A
- Midi-keyboard
- AKG C214 mic

Thanks,
Rickard

Ok, there wasn't a problem with the speakers, it was the USB-connection on my Saffire Soundcard. You could actually here the hf tone in the headphones as well, if you turned the volume to max, and then only in the left headphone :S

It took quite a while to actually figure it out, and I know that some people have had the same problem, so just want to let you know, if this would happen to you.

Cheers
