hi

i have placed genelec 1032 a against standing walls with no corners.should i use bass tilt.if yes then -2 or -4.

please help me out

Hello Joyatul,

If you want to know the exact settings for your system and room, you should take a frequency response measurement of each speaker and from there see what kind of settings you should use. You will need a calibrated measurement microphone, an interface box (usually sound card) and a measurement program (I would recommend Room EQ Wizard for PC, FuzzMeasure for Mac).

Without any information of the actual frequency response of the system, my recommendation should be taken as a general recommendation only. Since your room looks to have some acoustical treatment and the speakers are not against hard walls, I would recommend -2 dB bass tilt. One way to calibrate the system if you don't have the possibility to do a frequency response measurement, is to take a CD that you know very well and have heard it through systems that have been calibrated. From there you should be able to adjust the bass level so that your systems sounds similar to the calibrated system.

hi

i did the frequency measurement using fuzz measure using akg 414 at -2bd tilt & Attaching the response.there are dips at 150 hz,80 to 100 hz


please let me know what to do.
