8020b distortion scared i broke them...

ive been working on a track recently and im scared that i might of ruined 500 pounds worth of speakers.

my track sounds fine. but on itunes majority of other peoples kicks are sounding fuzzy, basslines are distorted. is there any way to check whether i have broken them and/or to fix this? thanks

i noticed when i used the EQ on itunes and dropped the 60hz region down, it made the fuzzyness decrease but not completely go away... can someone please help me im at wits end here :(

Sorry to hear about your problems. So did this change happen over night? I mean did those tracks sound OK before? How loud you are playing the system? How big room? No subwoofer?

Which version of i-Tunes do you use?
There apparently is a heavy bug in version 10.1 with the playback. All tracks sound distorted and the stereo image is greatly reduced.
You can find a thread on Gearslutz concerning this topic, a lot of people have this problem, me too.
Try to play the music not via i-Tunes but via Quick-Time-Player. If it is OK with Quicktime it probably is the new version of i-Tunes and your Loudspeakers are OK.
