8040+760+ JBL MSC-1 room correction

Hello, I have been using my 8040s with the 7060A sub as a 2.1 set up.
I recently bought a JBL MSC-1 room correction device, it has a dedicated "SUB OUTPUT" but it seems to be mono.
so ,should I connect the SUB OUTPUT from the JBL MSC-1 to the LFE INPUT of the 7060?
Any switches I should enable or disable?
and about the 8040s, any switches I need to enable as well ?
the JBL MSC-1 can also let me disable the "SUB " at any given time so I can use the 8040s full range or engage the 7060 with a button.
thank you

That's a question for a JBL message board. Don't they give instruction manuals with their equipment anymore? :)

Hi,

SUB OUTPUT from the JBL MSC-1 should be connected to the LFE INPUT of the 7060. Then you can select whether LFE frequency setting of 85 Hz or 120 Hz gives a better end result. You can also play with the crossover selection found on the MSC-1 (60, 80 or 120 Hz).

I'm not sure of the EQ capabilities found on the MSC-1, but basically those can be used additionally to the room eq (dip switches) controls found on the 8040 and 7060. If you have the possibility to measure the in-room frequency response of the system, it will greatly help to set up these controls. If not, you have to rely on general rule-of-thumb settings found on the operating manual of each device.

Hi,

"LFE BANDWIDTH" should be set to 120 Hz, so switch down if you are using an external crossover.
"LFE +10 dB" should be set to off, so switch down in typical cases. See more information here.
