Genelec at home - multiple sound sources

Hi,

My setup: Mac Mini (RCA)-> 5040A -> (XLR) 2x1029A. Listening distance around 2m.

The system is mainly used for home entertainment. At the moment I only have the Mac hooked up, but I need a solution for connecting multiple sound sources (turntable, cd, xbox) later.

I'm looking for a low-cost solution as basically an RCA switch would do except for the turntable.

On another note, do you think I would benefit of using a DAC (like Nuforce UDAC-2) instead of the Mac's own line out?

Best regards,
Jani

Hi,

Pro-Ject Pre Box (2 inputs) and Pre Box SE (4 inputs) are the first low cost solutions that come to my mind.

DAC question is quite difficult to answer without doing any testing first.

Hello,

I have the same problem. If we except low cost solutions, do you have other pre-ampli with mutiple line-in (with remote control) to propose (excepting Benchmark DAC1 HDR!) ?

Thank you !
