8020 cabin luggage

Hi Forum,

will take my 8020ies into the cabin of a plane next monday! Anyone here experienced any difficulties with the security authorities? I'm quite anxious because of the recent "fake bombs" that were discovered from Jemen and that the security will go berzerk if they find two metal-things in my suitcase.

Thx in advance

Yes, they do!

Travelled from Germany to England (London) with my two 8020s in the hand luggage.

The security people just took both of them to the mass spectrometer and made sure there's no explosives attached to them (srsly?!?!) Well. They all had a laugh and I'm so utterly happy now here in London with my 8020s in my little space.

Take care everyone!

Hi,

I've had trouble with an old sound level meter, guitar pickups, passive radiators and, in the past, just generally for being a purple-coated long-hair that doesn't shave much, but I've never had to get my complete Genelec speakers out of my bag.
