Alternatively, if you wish to engage in a community discussion with other people, there are many active forums available. There is also an active, fan managed GENELEC COMMUNITY in Facebook, and many Genelec employees are active in the discussions there.

We are sorry for any possible inconvenience this may cause you, but we hope to hear from you through the other channels mentioned above.

I'm measuring the impulse response of a room with a Genelec 8030 using MLS, and when I start the stimulus i hear a (very notoriuos) change in the amplitude. Has the 8030 some kind of volume control?

Thanks.
Ignacio.

Hi,

There is a protection circuit which lowers the output level if it's too high for the speaker to handle safely. How much SPL is the speaker producing ( for example at 1 meter distance) when taking the measurements? In what kind of space (how large) you are taking the measurements?

i agree with it,.

it has no volume control but it has only protection circuit which lowers the output level of it.

you can control the volume only on the player.
