GLM in demo mode?

In the latest community newsletter I saw that you can download GLM and run it in demo mode.
I do not yet have any DSP speakers (only 8040 & 7060) so what can I do with GLM in demo mode?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

You can try it out and play with the program and its different settings. Obviously you can't use it to control your analogue speakers because they don't have the necessary DSP circuits nor inputs for the control network.

But once you are more comfortable with the GLM program, and have realized all the goodies it has, it's just a small step to upgrade your speakers with the equivalent DSP models (8240A and 7260A). 8-)

Hi Ilkka,
OK, thanks for your reply,
can I actually do some measurements or is it all "Inside the computer"?

No, you can't do any measurements without having actual DSP speakers and the GLM interface & microphone.

OK thanks,
Well eventually i might be able to upgrade [hey, you should have a trade-in program! :-)]

Until then I'll have to stick to my analog speakers, that by the way, are my best investment ever!

I have some problems in one room that can't be treated (my living room). I've measured it as good as I can (using Room EQ Wizard) and I have a Behringer DEQ2496 (a digital 24-Bit/96 kHz EQ/RTA Mastering Processor) to apply a few parametric filters (< 135 Hz). It's It really makes a big difference. Would love to hear what GLM would do though...
