Speaker noise

Hi There,

I'm using a pair on 8020's connected to a Focusrite Saffire LE.

With the speakers powered up and the speaker volumes set to about half on the speakers, at normal listening volume both speakers are silent when not in use, however, when I turn the volume full on the Focusrite the left speaker has substantially more hiss than the right.

Does anyone know why this would happen, as I'd have expected both speakers to produce and even amount of hiss?

Many thanks

Hi,

What happens if you switch the channels i.e. plug the L channel XLR to the right speaker and vice versa?

Hi Ikka,

When I switch the inputs the noise moves with the switch!

I'm guessing that might suggest a dodgy cable?

Thanks

Hi Sean,

Could be the cable or then the left output of the Focusrite Saffire LE just hisses more.

Many thanks Ikka,

I'll replace the cable and take in from there.
