Genelec 6020A &8030A...which one is more suitable for me??

Hello,dear Friends of Genelecs.
I've gotten a question regarding pick up a right one as my Living-room
loudspeaks from 6020a & 8030a
Frankly speaking ,i've already owned a pair of 6010a.
and considering it's good performance i decided to buy another pair of genelec for my
living-room. the volumn of my room is 6.5M*4M*2.8M
personally i would like to use them to watch some movies, music entertainment.
one more question, if i also want to buy a subwoofer,
Should Genelec 5040a be good enough for my living-room??

Many thanks!

Hello,

Thanks for your post. First, the 5040A subwoofer has been designed to complement well a pair of 8020B (6020A is now discontinued) or up to 5x 6010A. These are well balanced systems in terms of SPL and headroom.

Now, your room is 73 m3. The critical parameter is the listening distance you are going to have and the replay level you like. Depending on your room setup and installation - mainly listening distance - you may want to go for the larger system - if you have a quite long distance.

To start with, I would suggest that the 8020B is adequate. Also you will be able to later combine a 5040A with it very easily. That would be the smaller system.

The larger system combination is 8030A with 7050B. It is also another budget.

Hope this is helpful.
Best regards,

Dear Christophe Anet ,

It's very kind of you to give me the answer.
i will take it into account :)
Eventhough budget is limited,
I prefer to have 8030A as my first choice.
Thanks!
