Hi..!

Please let me know that what are the differences between Genelec 8020A and 8020B two way monitor system!
...is it worth to go for the new 8020B system anyhow? Because by mistake I've got a 8020A system recently..!

Should I go for a exchange of my new unpacked 8020A to 8020B by adding almost 170€ in it..!?

Please suggest.

Thank you.

Hi!

There are only two small differences between A and B.

1) A has a volume knob on the front face which also acts as a power switch. In B there is a separate power switch on the back. In some cases that may be more convenient.

2) In B an additional XLR out connector has been removed. This was done so that there would be enough room for the separate power switch on the back panel, and also that there wasn't really need for the XLR out connector.

Performance wise they are identical. In my opinion there's no need to get B if you already have A.

Hi,

Since it sounds like the 8020A and 8020B are the same technically but differing by the power switch and XLR output, is it possible to mix and match the 8020A's and 8020B's or is this bad? i.e. Using 1 8020A and 1 8020B?

Thanks!
