Height adjustable stand for 8341

I am searching a height adjustable stand for 8341 (an possible for some smaller Genelecs as well). The stand would be for occasional use at a home environment. The stand 8000-409 would be adequate, but I need the stand to go lower.

Would it be possible to take saw and shorten the tubes of the 8000-409? :) Is the locking mechanism on the top of the lower tube removeable?

If the shortening is not possible, what would be a better choice for my need? The stand should accept Genelec stand adapters, and the height of the stand should be adjustable at least between 70-90 cm (so that I could adjust the height of the acoustical axis of 8341 between 90-110 cm).

Hi Tommi,

Shortening the 8000-409 is not an easy to do, as the locking mechanism on the top is really tight. It is probably glued. If you wish, you can confirm this from K&M who is the manufacturer for the stands, and ask if they have an alternative solution to offer you.

Moi Jani,

Ok, thanks! I looked through the K&M catalogue and there would be several suitable stands if only they went lower. Maybe I email them and ask if there are any other solutions.

Hi Tommy,

if you use the monitor stand 8000-400 in combination with the 8341A the height

of the acoustical axis is at 1048mm on the lowest position of the stand.

You can adjust the height in 50mm steps.
