Thank you for all the years of Community discussions and activity!

The time has come for us to retire the community forums, but we will keep everything available for reading. There is a lot of valuable content written over the years, and you'll be able to access all of that. However, no new posts can be written, or old posts modified.

If you have questions, we recommend you use the Support function on the bottom right corner to contact our Customer Support directly.

Alternatively, if you wish to engage in a community discussion with other people, there are many active forums available. There is also an active, fan managed GENELEC COMMUNITY in Facebook, and many Genelec employees are active in the discussions there.

We are sorry for any possible inconvenience this may cause you, but we hope to hear from you through the other channels mentioned above.

8330A normal operational temperatures?

hi

before I updated my firmware for the G.L.M software I noticed the operational temperatures of the 8330A monitors where roughly around 22-28deg celcoiuse although the left monitor was 22deg celcoiuse and the right was 28deg celcoiuse both with sufficient space at the back for cooling.

after updating the the firmware for the 8300-601 and the 8330A monitors I noticed that both monitors are more closely matched but are running at 32deg celcoiuse and 31deg celcoiuse and my room is not warm at all.

I would just like to know if this is standard for operational temperatures?

thanks in advanced!

Hi,

The temperatures are mostly meant to be used in fault searching when asked by Genelec Service, and the temperature sensor is not that accurate inside. It is possible that there can be up to ± 5-10 difference in the reading between the monitors. If the difference between them is higher, then please contact back to us. 32 celsius is normal temperature, any you've got nothing to worry about!
