Should I be able to shut off the led using a dip ( led disable) behind the speaker?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us. When using 8340A with GLM network, and applying LED-disable switch ON, it is needed to restart the monitor from the power button behind the monitor to apply this change to the monitor. Without GLM network LED-disable switch works without the need of restarting the monitor. Please let us know if you have any problem with the LED-disable function!

Jani,

Thank you for your quick reply.

Yes I have the GLM but I use the speakers stand alone. Only calibration is done by GLM. I have restarted the monitors after calibration but GLM network has been disconnected.  Led won’t go off. Do I have to restart the monitors while the GLM network is on? GLM recognize that led disable dip is on.

Hi,

Thank you for getting back to me. I have now discussed about this issue with our R&D, and unfortunately at the moment it is not possible to have LED-disable working when using monitors in stand alone mode. This means if you have put Stored -switch ON, it disables other DIP-switches from use.

If you would like to have LED-disable working and use room calibration, it is possible if you dont apply stored DIP-switch on, and you have GLM opened when using the monitors to have calibration settings applied.

I will forward this information to our GLM developers to investigate the possibility to add feature to shut down LED in the GLM when using standalone/Stored -DIP switch. Hopefully we can get this feature to our next GLM release. Thank you for your feedback, it is much appreciated!

Thank you for the information.

It would be a great feature! Hopefully you will have it soon.
