Alternatively, if you wish to engage in a community discussion with other people, there are many active forums available. There is also an active, fan managed GENELEC COMMUNITY in Facebook, and many Genelec employees are active in the discussions there.

We are sorry for any possible inconvenience this may cause you, but we hope to hear from you through the other channels mentioned above.

Hi,

Is it possible to use the GLM microphone on it's own without the GLM software? I'd like to use it with other measurement software.

I would like to measure the room acoustics without doing any calibration of the monitors so I can try and treat my room first and then smooth out any final issues with auto-cal.

Thanks,

Hello!

The GLM microphone has been designed to be used with the GLM interface only and we don't recommend using it with any 3rd party hardware. For that reason we don't publish any technical details of the microphone. The GLM software has a built in system to have the measurement calibrated always to the specific microphone used, based on the serial number. So the accuracy of the measurement is only valid when used with GLM.

Best Regards, Markus
